Welcomed to the team on April 12, 2024

Hi, I’m Georgia Smith. I’m a 26-year-old financial analyst from Tennessee who somehow found her way into songwriting through heartbreak, rage, and survival. My music blends country storytelling with punk-rooted anger, using sharp metaphor, dark humor, and southern twang to tell the truth without spelling everything out. What started as writing to cope with divorce and recovery became The Sweet Tea Tragedies: songs about setting boundaries, reclaiming your voice, and learning to breathe again.

Georgia Smith is a Tennessee-born singer-songwriter whose work sits at the crossroads of country storytelling and punk-rooted emotional release. Her songwriting leans heavily on metaphor, dark humor, and narrative precision, favoring implication over exposition in the tradition of country music’s best confessional writers. Raised on southern sensibilities but shaped by rock and metal intensity, Georgia approaches country as a vessel for anger, grief, and survival rather than nostalgia. Her debut body of work, The Sweet Tea Tragedies, chronicles recovery, divorce, and self-reclamation through sharp lyrical concepts and recurring motifs, courtroom cross-examinations, real-estate metaphors, salon chairs, and altar scenes turned inside out. Outside of music, Georgia works as a financial analyst in private equity, a duality that informs her writing: controlled on the surface, volatile underneath. Her songs are not polished apologies or radio-friendly confessions; they are boundaries set to melody. Whether delivered as a whisper or a scream, her voice exists to tell the truth and let the silence between lines do some of the talking.
